OK, he was nice and smiling, aswered questions honestly and readily. But there was no any revelations or discoveries about him, except about his love for Bulgakov. Anyway, I got an impression of a down to earth nice person, not particulary bright nor stupid, just VERY average. I respect his stage efforts - 100 shows of sing and dance numbers - is pretty hard to do I`d think. Nevertheless, I`m still far from impressed with his acting talents. Just the same facial expression thoughout the whole The Woman in Black screen time, sorry. I`d still see something else with him before making any conclusions. Just give this little guy another chance.
The Woman in Black is an old fashioned little horror movie from Hammer. Scary enough. But entirely consists of sudden appearences, I mean, it is not a thriller, it`s a staight horror film (no gore either though, which is just right for me). Well done and scarrier than the original. But DanRad didn`t convince me.
At the press conference I had my usual question about special effects for the director of the film, but Dan offered his imput on it as well, and he deffinitely did a better job on this question than the director it was aimed at initially, So, I`m definitely publishing his answer instead. That one thing I`m grateful to him for.
